One World Education (OWEd) announces its 2010 Culture & Global Issues Reflection Contest. Middle and high school students in the Washington metro area are invited to submit writing about cultural experiences, or local and global issues that affect youth around our city and the world. Six students will be selected as One World Student Ambassadors, will have their “One World Reflections” published on the One World Education website, and will split $1000 in cash and gift certificate prizes. Winning students, along with their teachers and school administrators, will be honored at a Youth, Culture & Learning Celebration on April 15, 2010. Area secondary teachers are encouraged to explore One World Education’s excellent curriculum and professional supports.
