Global Citizen Year is a 9-month “Gap Year” program, bridging high school and college with an immersive educational experience abroad. The program begins in the year following high school graduation with a fall training institute and US apprenticeship, followed by a 6-month program living in a rural community in Africa, Asia, or Latin America. This exciting and highly competitive program is for those qualified, adventurous graduates who want a truly global experience before entering college. Program organizers are committed to ensuring sufficient financial assistance for those lucky students selected for this fantastic opportunity.
