Students at China's Great Wall

CGEL’s DC China Scholars Program is a challenging and life-transforming Chinese language and culture program for competitively selected DCPS high school students. The program includes a free summer intensive language program in Beijing, China, offered through CGEL’s partner, Americans Promoting Study Abroad, with funding from the US State Department’s National Security Language Initiative for Youth program.
